Question about English (US)
I was supposed to hang out with my friend today. But my appointment was canceled by her. I texted her saying how are you doing, where should we go? The day I texted her that was the day we were going to hang out. She texted me that she got a job interview tomorrow. She totally forgot to tell me. I mean it's perfectly fine if she can't make it but she should've texted me a bit earier.
Is this natural? If it sounds unnatural or grammatically wrong, please let me know😊

I was supposed to hang out with my friend today but she cancelled our date. The day we were supposed to meet, I texted her to ask her how she was doing and where we should go? She replied saying she has a job interview tomorrow. She totally forgot to tell me. I mean is perfectly fine if she couldn't make it but she should have told me a bit earlier.
I think the biggest problem with what you wrote is that you said you were supposed to meet her today and everything you wrote after that suggests that this happened in the past. So that particular issue I haven't corrected.

"appointment" is for going to see the doctor or a meeting scheduled with a business, not for meetings friends.
"She cancelled our plans".🟢
"I texted her today asking how she was and where we should go." 🟢
The next sentence doesn't make sense because you already said you were supposed to hang out today: "The day I texted her that was the day we were going to hang out"❌
"She told me she has a job interview tomorrow". 🟢
